MAIN Command V - View conference mail
This command checks conferences you are a member of, reports the number of
new messages and whether any are addressed to you, and whether you have
any personal uploads.
The View command also gives you these options:
J)oin - make the displayed conference your current
message base
U)njoin - remove you from the conference
L)ink - add the conference to the linked ones
D)elink - remove the conference from the linked ones
TIPS:
1. View is the command you will normally use on boards that have multiple
message bases, in order to determine where you have mail waiting. A
listing of new mail is normally presented on logon, though not with
option to join then.
2. V)iew reports only new mail addressed to you. You way want to join the
conferences to read public mail to all or to other individuals.
3. V)iew will not report on conferences you have not joined. Use the
J)oin command to join a conference for the first time.
4. You link together conferences that you want to read as a group, e.g.
to "read since last on" for all the conferences. At the end of
one message base, RBBS will give you the option to continue in the
next linked conference, saving you the trouble of remembering where
you had mail and separately joining the conference.
